SAN FRANCISCO, RSA Security Conference Booth # 1911, February 14 -- Newbury Networks Inc., (www.newburynetworks.com) the industry's first and only provider of location-based management and security solutions for wireless networks, today announced growing momentum for its WiFi Watchdog solution.  Further validating the company's product strength and unique location-based security capabilities, WiFi Watchdog was selected as the Datamation 2005 Product of the Year in the wireless software category and for Network World's sixth annual 'Best of the Tests' awards.

WiFi Watchdog is an enterprise class application that monitors and secures 802.11-based wireless LANs (WLANs).  Through its patented location technology, WiFi Watchdog provides unprecedented 24x7 wireless management and security capabilities, providing enterprises with the ability to effectively monitor, manage and secure WLANs.

"As enterprises begin to rollout WLANs as an integral part of their corporate networks, they are realizing the need for more sophisticated and comprehensive security solutions over and above the normal encryption standards provided by their access point providers," said Michael Maggio, President and CEO, Newbury Networks.  "These recent awards acknowledge the need for best of breed solutions, such as our WiFi Watchdog system in deploying truly secure WLANs.  Supported by our rapidly growing customer base, our robust security solutions provide wireless networks with the ability to enforce physical perimeter security policies by bringing control over the pervasive, invisible, and insecure RF environment."
